so today, i had the whole day to do just whatever i wanted.

my roommates are the early to bed, early to rise kinda gals, so i am hoping that habit will rub off on me this summer. although i'm sure the bfa will break me as soon as i get back to provo. bfa = no sleep. but at least for today, i woke up early and went for a run along the hudson through riverside park. it was so gorgeous.

later i decided to take a walk up to the cathedral of saint john the divine. on my walk there i stopped at a little bookstore and bought my new york moleskin. i have been waiting to buy that sucker for so long. when i first saw them i told myself it would be a little gift to myself if i got an internship in new york this summer. and that i did. so now there's a new notebook in my purse. the cathedral was stunning. can i just tell you that i absolutely love the neighborhood around my apartment. the cathedral is so close to columbia university campus so i couldn't resist taking a stroll through. i do think byu has a pretty campus. but columbia's amazed me.

moleskin's biggest fan

next i was en route to the new york public library. do you know what a new york address can get you? a new york library card. i am so excited to use it. while i was in the area i popped my head into zara, h&m and sephora where i bought a new perfume: chloe. i think its a perfect summer scent. im still searching for the perfect pleated skirt though.

by the time i made my way back home, i was starving, so i decided to go the a pizza place my roommate had pointed out. koronet pizza, 3.75 for a slice that is as big as the food tray is. but somehow i ate it all. actually i wasn't really surprised. and to top it off, i stopped at westside market and bought myself three delicious looking grapefruits. one of which i plan on having for desert.
