I cannot describe to you how amazing the Alhambra was. Unlike many of the sites we saw on our trip, the Alhambra was a destination that I was relatively unfamiliar with. Having no idea what to expect sure added to my awe. The Alhambra is a palace and fortress built by the Moorish rulers of Granda in the 14th century. In the 16th century gardens and Christian architecture were added by the Christian rulers of the territory. The combination of styles and sense of history all nestled against the beautiful backdrop of Alhambra really were inspiring.
